"Katie Otten (Actor B) is another young cast member who shows a great deal of promise. Her performance as Kai’s sister, Annabelle, is especially poignant."
"Katie learned her lines early in the rehearsal process, and willingly accepted changes in direction, blocking and delivery throughout the production.
When in rehearsal, she took a leadership role with young people aged 5 to 16. When it was necessary to rehearse a scene three or more times in a single night, she graciously did so - even though it was more to the benefit of other actors. In all circumstances she upheld her sense of humor with a focus on accomplishing the task at hand.
During the rehearsal period, she gained a clear understanding of her character’s background, personality, and development. She created a charming, spunky, and warm Mrs. Cratchit that our audiences and actors enjoyed."

Katie Otten was both a new addition to and a recent departure from the Apollon creative team. That sounds bad, doesn't it? What we mean is that Katie spent a year working in Omaha theater, quite a bit of it at The Rose, and during that time we were fortunate enough to count her among our collaborators. The crux of her work with us was in a series of roles we affectionately called "every fairy tale princess ever" in our June 2014 production How Very UnFairy. Just weeks later she moved to Minneapolis to spend a season working with Climb Theatre - a touring company that offers children's performances to schools throughout the Midwest.
"I'm very excited to do theater, educate youngsters, and travel, three things I'm very passionate about," said Otten. We're proud of Katie's work and we can't wait for spring when her Climb tour comes to an end and we can start working on bringing her back to Omaha.

Katie Otten broke my heart with her take on Honey. She is the lone, wholly sympathetic character in the piece. Her ramrod posture indicates the constant level of tension she lives with and is only able to cope with copious amounts of alcohol. When she’s blitzed her real personality of a fun-loving, uneducated party girl shines through. Miss Otten’s Honey seems a poor match for her genius husband until the truth of their relationship is revealed.

"Katie did a fantastic job! She was very quick and efficient with her delivery. Her voice was incredible and she followed instructions and notes for my short story very well. She was also very respectful and communicated very well with me throughout the process. Katie ended up delivering the final product a lot sooner than the expected delivery date. Katie is a very skilled professional. She will definitely bring satisfying results to your project."

"Katie is awesome. She is quite enthusiastic and highly talented. Despite 14 hour time difference between my place and hers, our communication has been quite smooth. Her products will definitely contribute to upgrading our service quality. I will definitely hire her again for our next assignment, thus highly recommended to anyone looking for a voice-over talent."
-ALEXYS Inc., Tokyo Japan
"Katie is really talented and with depth. She knows how to work with audio recorders, audio levels, and a microphone. The two accents she narrated for me were distinctly different. I highly recommend Katie for acting and voiceover talent needs."
"Katie is, no exaggeration, one of the nicest people you could ever work with. Her vocal talents are staggering and she maintains great communication during a project. Katie turned in her audio in to me well in advance of the due date and delivered a stellar performance.
I wholeheartedly recommend Katie for any collaboration, big or small. She gives it her all with a contagiously positive attitude."
-Guit Archon, director for animation project
"Katie was wonderful! She created a safe learning environment where the students felt safe in acting. She kept them under control in a kind, caring manner. She shared her knowledge and passion for the American Revolution."

"Our second grade class, once again, loved the presentation. They are so interested in the costuming and sound effects, yet still take away lots of information about nutrition and health. Many in our group this year have a hard time focusing for extended periods of time, but that was definitely not the case during the show. The timing of interactive parts was just right for keeping them engaged. Thanks for another great presentation!
P.S. The kids have been playing Nutrition Woman/Man at recess since you were here!"
